Marketing & Brand Campaign Intern
Department: Marketing
Reports To
Director of Sales and Marketing, Renewable Products
About Us
Pulsar Products Inc. is a fast-growing manufacturer and distributor at the forefront of the power systems and clean energy revolution. Our product lineup spans industrial generators, advanced batteries, containerized battery energy storage systems (BESS), residential solar arrays, hybrid inverter battery storage, and mobile power stations.
From remote construction sites to whole-home backup to grid-scale energy storage, our products keep the world running. We are scaling fast, and we need a marketing talent who can take our brand to market as powerfully as our products perform.
The Opportunity
Are you passionate about building brands and eager to develop your marketing skills in a dynamic, revenue-driven environment? This is not a "schedule some posts" internship. You will sit inside a working team and help drive real campaigns across digital, social, email, web, and trade show channels — campaigns that reach contractors, distributors, project managers, and enterprise buyers across the country.
You will help plan and execute product launches, develop campaign concepts, support sales enablement, and learn how marketing strategy translates into pipeline and revenue in a fast-moving industrial market.
Because you can also design, you will bring your campaigns to life yourself. Our flagship marketing initiative this year is a high-end, print-ready product catalog — a sales tool that goes directly into buyers' hands — and you will be a key contributor to it. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and want portfolio pieces that actually moved a business, this is where you build them.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Campaign Execution
Support digital marketing campaigns from concept through launch and reporting — product promotions, company milestones, and new product introductions
Develop visual and messaging concepts aligned with brand identity and campaign goals in collaboration with the marketing team
Plan and produce social media content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook, applying platform-specific best practices and sizing
Assist with email marketing — campaign builds, headers, product feature sections, and promotional banners
Support website and landing page content, including product page imagery, banner ads, and digital projects
Build sales collateral that the sales team actually uses — one-sheets, spec sheets, sell sheets, trade show banners, and presentation decks
Help manage project workflows and content updates within content management systems such as WordPress or similar platforms
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative and strategic input on campaign and product launch plans
Maintain brand consistency across every marketing touchpoint — voice, typography, color palette, iconography, and layout
Graphic Design & Product Catalog Support
Design and lay out a multi-page, print-ready product catalog using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
Create visually striking hero-shot layouts (full-bleed and dominant product imagery) for generators, batteries, container BESS units, solar panels, inverter battery storage systems, and mobile power stations.
Integrate technical specifications (voltage, capacity, runtime, IP rating, warranty, dimensions) in a clean, modern style that informs without cluttering the layout
Retouch, color-correct, and manipulate product photography so every image looks premium, polished, and consistent
Produce illustrations, icons, infographics, and visual assets that strengthen product and campaign content
Prepare final files for both print production (CMYK, bleeds, trim marks) and digital distribution (optimized PDF, interactive features)
What You Bring
Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a Marketing, Communications, Business, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or related program
Genuine interest in brand building, campaign strategy, and how marketing drives revenue
Familiarity with social media marketing and platform-specific best practices
Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills — you can articulate a campaign idea or a design decision clearly and take feedback like a pro
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) — bonus points for After Effects, Premiere Pro, or Figma
A portfolio or work samples showing campaign work, social content, or clean layout and product-focused design (class projects and personal work absolutely count)
Solid foundation in color theory, typography, layout, and typesetting principles
Photography experience and an eye for visual storytelling — you know how to make industrial equipment look powerful, premium, and approachable
Excellent attention to detail — you catch the typo in the subject line, the off-brand color, the misaligned text box
Exposure to email marketing platforms, analytics, or CMS tools is a plus
Understanding of print production basics (resolution, color modes, bleeds) is a plus
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript for web-related projects is a plus
Motion graphics or video editing experience (After Effects, Premiere Pro) is desirable but not required
Reliable transportation — this is a fully on-site position
Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
What We Offer
Paid from day one — *16.90–*17.49/hour, 20–40 hours/week built around your schedule
Real marketing work — not busy work. You will help ship live campaigns and a professional product catalog you can show future employers
Hands-on mentorship from experienced marketing and design professionals who want to see you grow
Exposure to a booming industry — power systems, renewable energy, and battery storage are not slowing down
Flexible scheduling around your classes and academic commitments
Depending on performance and current operations, potential for a part-time or full-time position for the right candidate upon graduation
Why This Internship Stands Out
Most marketing internships bury you in scheduling tools and spreadsheets. Here, you help shape the campaigns — strategy, creative, launch, and results. You will work with real products, real deadlines, real budgets, and a marketing team that values your input.
Because you will also design the assets, you graduate with something rare: proof that you can take a campaign from idea to finished, on-brand execution. That combination is what gets you hired.
This internship is designed to empower aspiring marketers by providing meaningful work experience that builds your portfolio, sharpens your strategic thinking, and expands your creative skill set. Join us to develop your talents in a collaborative environment where creativity fuels success.
